What is a Medieval Faire?

Our Faire is 4.5 acres of pure fun! 3 stages offer a variety of entertainment all day long. In addition, we dazzle you with a fully armored joust, the King and Queen and their glittering Court, amazing arts and crafts, delicious food, fine spirits, music, dance, parades, rides and games. Join us for a weekend of play!

What are the dates and hours?

The Castle Gate opens Saturday, August 11th at 9:00 am and closes at 5 pm to get ready for the Feast! Please note Feast tickets are sold separately, and there is limited seating. The Castle Gate opens again Sunday August 12th at 9:00 am and closes at 5 pm.

How much are the tickets for admission? What does the admission price include?

Ticket prices include jousting, sword fighting, re-enactor villages. There is an extra charge for games of skill and chance as there are prizes. And of course, food and drink is extra, as is anything you may want to purchase from the Artisan Marketplace. Click here for more ticket information!

May we bring outside food and drink?

Yes, however we cannot provide lockers or coolers for your food.

May we bring a pet?

Pets are not permitted. Only assistance animals or animals involved in shows are allowed on festival grounds.

Do I have to come in costume?

No, comfortable clothes are recommended. Many of our guests come in costume and we feel that the whole experience is heightened and more fun when you come dressed to play.

May I bring my (costume) weapon?

All weapons must be sheathed and peace tied. Please visit the Information Booth if you do not know how to peace tie your weapon.

Is the Faire wheelchair accessible?

Yes, with the understanding that we are an outdoor event. The grounds are a combination of gravel and grass, there could be some holes and ruts to watch for.

Is everyone involved with the festival part of your team?

Our Stage shows, retail merchants, re-enactors, jousters, sword fighters and food vendors are all independent and have been given space with which to do business. And though there is a rigorous selection process, they are responsible for their own actions and products.

Are your actors improvising or working from a script?

Our actors are completely improvisational. Each group may have a storyline they are following, and individuals may have a medieval character they are portraying.

Can I leave the Faire and come back in?

Yes, you can ask for a wrist band from the greeters at the front gate.

Do you have a Lost and found?

Please check with the Information Booth if you’ve lost something on the grounds. Items left at the end of the Faire will be posted to our facebook page for people to claim.  Anything left at the festival will be held onto for 6 months and then donated to Salvation Army.

What if it rains?

The Faire is open rain or shine.
