Brooks Medieval Faire

History

The Brooks Medieval Faire began in 2003 as a fundraiser for the Brooks Public Library. It was an instant local smash hit and showcased talented dancers, performers and artisans from all around Brooks and Newell County.

Was it any surprise that everyone wanted to get in on the fun?

The Faire grew so large that the Library decided to pass it on to other caretakers. Over the next 14 years, the Brooks Medieval Faire has become one of the largest Medieval festivals in western Canada and attracts people from all over the province, the country and even from other countries!

2018 will mark the 15th year of the faire and a new team of caretakers has set themselves the task of making it a world-class event. Come out and see re-enactors, entertainers, artisans and jousters as we bring history to life and showcase how amazing the people of Brooks are!
